Focus

I've posted quite a few pictures of Ki-lee on this blog now; yesterday's is one of my favorites. Aside from being stunning, she's a very special little girl to me, and her mom is one of my dearest friends. We spent the day hanging out together yesterday and I got some great shots of our beautiful dogs. I can't take a lot of photographic credit for these. It's hard to take a bad picture of a greyhound.

Ki-lee is a young dog and she was fascinated by the ocean. She couldn't figure out why the waves came at her but then receded, as if they wanted to play. She was still looking over her shoulder as we left the shoreline, puzzled by the giant sloshing creature.

  1. aw that is so cute!!! I have seen dogs who play with the waves, running up and down and trying to catch them!

  2. That's what I loved about seeing the ocean for the first time with Bunny last year at Dewey! She thought the waves were fascinating, and I was glad I took her harness along for her to wear when we went, because I think she'd have broken her little neck trying to play like a little nut in the water. It was just so much fun to watch!

  3. I love taking Frankie and Beryl to the beach. They were a bit tentative at first too. Beryl will only go in if I throw a tennis ball in the water for her to fetch or if I run around in the water myself, which I'm not inclined to do, lol!

I hope you get to take Ki-lee to the beach again.
